Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of the children and only daughter born to Richard McCormick in 1956 - was born in Woodland Hills (California) on 5 August. The mother was also a housekeeper. Michael, Dennis and Kevin are her oldest brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing at an early age and often performed show-like puppets in front of children in her community. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she was crowned in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was six, which led to being contacted by talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked if she would like to be in show business. McCormick was given her first major breakthrough in the year 1964. She starred in the commercial on television for Mattel's "Baby Pattaburp" doll" which was Mattel's latest doll. The following year, she appeared in a commercial for"the "Chatty Catherine" doll, and she was later cast in the show, Wind It up And It Breaks. McCormick was selected in 1969 of 1,200 children to become the youngest of three twin daughters on the TV series The Brady Bunch. Florence Henderson and Robert Reed played newlyweds who lived in a household that blended. The run of five seasons of The Brady Bunch was an enormous success. McCormick admitted in her book that was published in 2008, entitled"Here's My Story: How I Survived Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice the fact that Barry Williams was her screen brother. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the Truth: Surviving the Marcia and Finding My True Voice in season five on the show, she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. "It was predicted to occur," said the woman, "but it never happened just at the right moment for us."
